December Delight

It is hard to fathom that we started the Bible study five months ago. How time has flown and how the Lord has blessed. Yet again the Lord has shown that if we “delight ourselves in Him He will give us the desires of our heart”. Our most recent desire was for a building to meet in. Praise the Lord, He has provided that for us!

In downtown Farmington there is an old clothing factory that has been turned into an antique/craft mall. It has been aptly named “The Factory”. The Factory has many nooks and crannies, one of which is an old shipping dock on the west end of the building. It is in this shipping dock that Parkland Chapel will begin Sunday morning services. With a little tender loving care and some elbow grease, we believe that we can be meeting there by February.

While the building will definitely have an industrial feel (see picture), it has many attractive features. There are restrooms just outside the entrance. There is plenty of parking. The local ministerial alliance’s thrift and furniture stores are just across the lobby. And, lest we not forget, the rent was right.

Thank you all for your prayers. This building is an answer to those prayers. Please continue to pray for us as we work preparing the building for Sunday mornings and we continue to build relationships in our community. Pray for revival in this area where there is so much religion and so little relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. Pray that many would receive their packing slip to heaven in this old shipping dock.

God bless,
Mike
