Summer Short

I’m not sure where the summer has gone. Between all of the church activities and our recent trip to San Diego it just occurred to me that I haven’t posted in about a month and a half. The kids are back to school in less than three weeks. I love the long days of summer. I look forward to the routine that fall brings as well. To everything there is a season.

The Lord has been blessing Lucinda and I individually. He has also been blessing our fellowship corporately. In July, we rented a 900 square foot room across the lobby from our sanctuary. This is to accommodate our growing childrens ministry. We usually have between ten and fifteen children, all under the age of seven, on any given Sunday morning. We are seeing a lot of visitors come through the doors week by week. Our prayer is that God will graft those into the body who are in like mind with our vision, and that He would lead those of an unlike mind to a place of worship that best fits them.

A lady in the church made us a DVD comprised of pictures and video footage of our first year of existence as a body of Christ (We began the Bible study in our basement July 10, 2005). I hope to have that on the website in the near future. Until then, please pray for God’s continued protection and provision for Parkland Chapel. Pray that we will be ambassadors for Christ that would bring Him glory in this area.
