Prospective Property for Parkland Chapel

Well, our Heavenly Father continues to bless us individually and corporately. I am back to driving the school bus (always good for sermon illustrations, not to mention character building) and Lucinda is four months pregnant today! The church is growing numerically as well as spiritually. We have nearly doubled in attendance this summer and the kids ministry is exploding!

I mentioned in last month’s article that we rented 900 sq. foot room across the lobby from our sanctuary, to accommodate the kids ministry. This was much needed and a huge blessing, yet it doubled our rent. So…after we came back from the Burke/Estrada wedding (they are doing well here in Mizzou) in California, we decided to begin praying for the future. We believed that we could possibly pay a mortgage for what we are now paying in rent. We began to pray for 6-12 months down the road.

It seems the Lord’s timetable was not ours. Through a series of God guided events, we have put a contract on a piece of land just east of Farmington, on hwy OO. The property is seven acres, with two finished metal buildings, and a one acre pond. Barring any unforeseen obstacles, we are due to close November 1st.
