Down the Stretch We Come
December 18, 2006 · Print This Article
The last three months have been a blur of breaking and blessing. Our area is still recovering from one of the worst ice storms in decades (this hit us earlier in the month). Thousands were without power for days, and some died in the frigid temperatures. Cleanup continues on the downed trees. Lucinda and I fought back water backing up into our basement for a few days, as a result of the rain and the power outage. By the Lords grace we kept the water out of the finished portion. Concerning the building renovation, the sanctuary, nursery and bathrooms are ready for service in the new church. We moved the church Sunday morning after service and look forward to our first service on Christmas Eve. The kids area should be usable by the first of the year. Our last service in the Factory was a memorable one. Our neighbors in the Factory, Living Water Chapel, joined us for worship, and provided coffee, donuts and a cake. With pickups, trailers, and strong backs, we moved the church in one trip! We had lunch at the new building after we were finished with the move. Lucinda is doing great. She is now eight months pregnant and all is going as it is supposed to. God is so good. Praise Him for His faithfulness. Thank you for your continued prayers and support. Enjoy the pics.
Merry Christmas,
Mike
