Shall build the old waste places; (Isa 58:12)
After a brutally hot July, August has brought with it June-like temperatures. We took this opportunity to freshen the paint on the two old yellow buildings (we went with green this time) and to paint a rubberized coating on the roofs to seal any potential leaks.
Watching the property and buildings slowly being transformed, over the last five years, is a real thrill to me. It is nice to offer the Lord’s precious people an improved facility in which to worship. But I like it most because the gradual renovation of this facility so reflects the way the Lord transforms our lives to match His over the course of time. Slowly, sometimes almost imperceptibly, we gradually become more attractive and more useful as we allow the Spirit to work on our hearts.
The weather was an additional blessing at our 2nd picnic and baptism of the summer. What a tremendous day eating, visiting, swimming, boating and baptizing!
May God add to His Kingdom though Parkland Chapel.
